SMCF Announces Upcoming Program Evaluation Training Opportunity

Once again on March 12, 2010, Spirit Mountain Community Fund will be offering a one-day workshop on Program Evaluation lead by Chari Smith, Principal of CR Smith Consulting headquarter in Portland, Oregon.

“In this hands-on learning setting participants will gain deep knowledge in program evaluation, allowing them to learn and experience the benefits of goal setting, collecting data, and using data to make decisions.  Becoming a believer and doer of data driven decision making will lead to more effective use of funds, ability to illustrate accountability and overall increase the capacity of organizations” , said Chari Smith.

The number of participants will be limited, so let us know soon via email or telephone about your interest in attending the training. Similar to previous sessions, there will be a morning session (10-12 a.m.) for those with limited evaluation or program design experience followed by an afternoon session (1-3 p.m.) targeting staff with intermediate evaluation or program design experience. Both training sessions will be limited to 35 participants each, so be sure to sign-up early.

The training sessions will be held in the “Green Room” at the YWCA located at 1255 Broadway St NE, Salem, Oregon.
